Skill Tree will get bigger/more points to travel between areas of ST

I think that there will be more passives totally in the skill tree and most of the starting areas will need 1-3 more points to progress to other areas of the tree.
But, i think there is a reason for this (if it happens in the end). I believe act 4 will bring more FREE skill points as quest rewards. For that, it will have to get balanced by more points required to progress in the tree. Why is that good for players? Because if i saw correctly in the videos, there are many jewel socket passives that you can pick while simply travelling from one point of the tree to another. So, tree gets bigger + balanced by more free skill points from quests = good from players since this extra travelling, comes in the form of jewel sockets. at first i thought what is the point of speculating about the size of the tree. but thats actually a good point. Another thing to note is that (particularly near the scion starting area) there is an extra pathing node stuck next to the jewel socket, im not mistaken. it wouldnt be a large increase of pathing in the tree (or rather not really an increase given the additional spec points).

Even without extra points the jewels look like total power creep to me. I hope the game gets harder to compensate.

" IF this continues to be the plan. 2 years ago they had plans about other things as well, and many of them kind of changed as things moved on. Also, if this happens to be the case in the end im sure the number of free skill points will still get bigger, even if difficulties are removed. |
