Glorious plate - how to increase armour

hey all!
i have a soul veil glorious plate and its 1400 armour, i see on poe.trade theres some similiar that are 2400 armour.... what orb would reroll the main armour stat?
read lots just cant come to a conclusion.
cheers!
You'll want to link the armor so we can see what affixes it has.

Or you can reroll it completely with Chaos orbs - just make sure you have a few hundred. Also some divine orbs.

Maybe an eternal to make an imprint of a good roll.

You can also exalt it if you need to add more affixes.

Massive thanks to GGG for producing such a fun and engaging game, it has taken up faaaaaaar too much of my life over the last 5 years.

Best of luck in the future!
ok cool i will link and see what you think...
im happy with the lower specs

well i say im "happy" but fairly new at this... so still not sure haha
can another bottom stat be simply added somehow?
Currently, there is no way to make the armor on that chest higher except using a divine orb which honestly isn't worth it.

You could try using some chaos orbs on that in hope of getting some good mods/rolls.
Ugh effort
There's no sensible way to increase the armour of that.

Let me explain a bit about how rare items work. A rare item can have six mods - three prefixes and three suffixes. Mods are split into prefixes or suffixes based on the stats they grant, and you can see more info on this here or on innumerable third-party sites. In the case of your item, you have three prefixes:

Fortified (+110 armour)
Thickened (90% increased armour)
Robust (+56 life)

One suffix:

Of the Hydra (4 life regen)

And then the master-crafted lightning resistance suffix.

There are two ways you could hypothetically add more armour. The first is to add another prefix, specifically one of the hybrid armour/stun recovery mods. You could do this either with Haku or with a lucky exalted orb. However, this won't work for this item because you already have three prefixes (and is generally a bad idea anyway, since you'd rather have a life mod than the extra armour).

The second is to use a divine orb to reroll your mods. However, a divine orb can't change what mods are actually on the item, only their values. That means that your flat armour is stuck within the range for Fortified (max 138, whereas Carapaced, the best flat armour mod, goes up to 400), and your % armour is similarly capped at 100% the max for thickened (although that's not so bad, since Thickened is the second-highest mod in this category and the max possible is only 120%). So you could get small gains by using a few divine orbs. However, for that amount of currency it would be a lot better to spam chaos orbs or just buy a new chest.

The basic problem is that you're stuck with a fairly unimpressive flat armour mod. There is absolutely no way to change that (short of using a chaos to reroll the item completely, of course), so you're never going to be able to get enormous amounts of armour on the item.

Edit: if you do want to chaos spam a bit, be aware that you can't get the Carapaced mod unless that item is ilvl 73 or higher (which I can't check from here).
Have you done something awesome with Sire of Shards? PM me and tell me all about it!
