Vale of Exiles (a continued hideout story) [HoTW sub]

Welcome to my "Vale of Exiles" hideout.


This hideout uses Tora's hideout and emphasizes on the outdoor setting of the hideout with decorations being built around it.

My second hideout is my attempt to create a hideout that actually links to my first hideout, "Mausoleum of Bones".

Vale of Exiles lore:

Continuing from the lore for Mausoleum of Bones whereby the entrance was sealed off by a forced a cave-in at the entrance...

The Vale of Exiles is a peaceful village that catered mostly to exiles looking to bury their dead among their ancestors and to would be adventures daring enough to explore the secrets that are hidden within the once ancient mausoleum.

Hearing of a place that harbored an abundant supply of dead, both recent and ancient, Catarina decided to pay Vale of Exiles a visit in hopes of tapping into the vast amounts of death buried deepwithin the Mausoleum of Bones.

Days after Catarina descended into the mausoleum, the few exiles staying within Vale of Exiles started to feel restless spirits haunting them in the night and soon after, the restless dead started to rise...

As Haku was travelling past the vale, he felt a strong and unsettling disturbance towards the ancient spirits that dwell within the mausoleum. The exiles plead Haku to help calm the spirits so that the exiles can return to their normal lives. But before he could take a closer look within the mausoleum, he was swarmed hordes of undead and angry spirits that poured out the mausoleum.

While be battled the undead, he ordered the exiles to seal off the mausoleum by caving in the entrance as he would not be able to hold the undead at bay for much longer. With some Thaumetic Sulphite, the exiles cause the entrance to collapse on itself, once again burying the dead in their intended tomb...





After noticing that some people actually mention interest in watching how hideouts are made, I though of making hideout creation videos in parts.

I am still adding finishing touches to the hideout and will post a final gallery and possibly update the walk-through video after that.

The video was done a couple of days back and since then, there has been quite a lot of changes.

The 3rd hideout creation video has been added.

This video shows the creation process of the map device from Zana and how it is made to blend into Tora's hideout.

The name of my hideout has been renamed to "Vale of Exiles"

This is in line with the theme I am moving towards which is a encampment/village for exiles in a valley which can only be access via tunnel routes and ship. Story will be further expanded.

Next up will be a proper gallery with higher res pictures followed by a walkthrough video.

I have updated the walkthrough video with a new one with minor touchups here and there.

Most noticeable is the bond fire from Haku added to the burning corpse pile and Haku's lighthouse deco at the north wall to make the valley wall less plain.
