Ambidexterity should give 2handers both the damage and attack speed.

After all, 2handers take up both the main-hand and the off-hand, they should get both the main-hand's increased damage and the off-hand's increased attack speed.

Seems acceptable balance-wise, as you've gotta go through 3 nodes that don't affect 2handers at all for about the same 2h gains as getting the Wrecking Ball notable and its lead-in nodes a short distance away, and having such a notable could actually help encourage builds that use two different types of weapons altogether (namely dual-wielding in one weapon set and a 2hander in the other).

disagree. Also this is a suggestion.
Seems like have two 6 sockets is already powerful enough. 2Hder problem is not offense anyway it's defense in so far as top end game play.

I mean it would be awesome to put a 7L incinerate inside PoH and go burn down uber but everything will one shot you without shield (stats it gives or block) so I use saffels and get to 100% resits with half DPS.
Git R Dun!

If you put on your full plate mail, and I throw hundreds of toothpicks at you, you'll basically not feel it.

If someone catapults a whole tree at you, don't expect the Armour to prevent as much of the damage.
Alright, a few points to add to my original post:

A) This isn't about the name of the notable. I realize ambidexterity isn't some kinda prerequisite for using 2 handed weapons in real life (though i imagine it might help a bit). I'm not suggesting that 2handers in game should get both benefits simply because of the name, i don't really care what the node is called, this isn't about lore and realism.

B) This isn't really about directly buffing 2hander offense much either; as a 2hander type of player myself, i feel like their offense is in a pretty reasonable state (as others have brought up, it's the gross imbalance between the minor innate offensive advantage and the massive defensive disadvantage that hurts 2handers). This is more about making weapon-swapping builds a little bit better, especially for swapping between 2handers and dual-wielding.

Weapon-swapping builds between sword-and-board and dualwielding have a reasonable amount of support right now, as you can pump up both with 1handed weapon nodes and the specific weapon type nodes (axes/swords/maces/etc). But swapping between 2handers and dual-wielding is rough atm, as generally the only passives you can take to augment both weapon sets are specific weapon type nodes, which makes it hard to reasonably support both. Most of what this change would do is help out this type of weapon-swapping build, making it reasonable to support both dual-wielding and 2handers at the same time.

Without the benefit of helping your dual-wielding, it's not really worth going through the lead-in node to get the notable for 2handed benefit alone compared to other two-handed or weapon-type clusters available, especially if your skill tree doesn't take you adjacent to the Ambidexterity cluster anyway. That being the case, it's not really a much of a buff to 2hander-only characters.
