Drop bears falling into inaccessible areas

This is probably already known, but I was leap slamming over a river (In Act 2 Riverways) and some drop bears fell into the river and therefore could not move, but I could still attack them. I tried to take a screenshot but I was in a race.

I found this picture on reddit, seems someone had the same problem as me, much easier than trying to go get my own pic.
