Spark Build, Support Gems
|
Hello guys, I'm currently playing a Spark Templar in Bloodlines and i have some problems finding the right support gems for it.
I have Spark linked to Spell echo, GMP, Faster Projectiles and Fork. I tested Pierce instead of Fork but i thought Fork would add more projectiles and therefor increase my clearspeed. But i haven't seen more projectiles so far. Maybe the additional projectiles are instantly consumed by nearby monsters, im not sure and its hard to figure out. I hope someone can share his experiences with Spark or any suggestions. ty in advance |

Multiple projectiles aren't really a good choice for spark, it already has three projectiles so extra ones aren't helping your dps much, I would replace it with penetration. Pierce and fork are both pretty good, it's up to your personal preference.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Lightning Penetration and Spell Echo are must-haves.
LMP is simply out of the question. It's useless. GMP is usable, though not great. It adds 4 projectiles of your 3. Total of 7. Chain will triple your projectiles, provided they hit something. Total of 9 without other supports. Fork will give 9 as well, though projectiles come out immediately. |

lmp is equal to gmp in total theoretical damage (= bad cause it provides only 16.6% more total theoretical damage)
5 * 0.7 = 7 * 0.5 = 3.5 IGN: Eric_Lindros

" Yeah and Fork is the best option since it's a 30% less modifier but gives you the same amount as chain. |

Sporker!!
It's free, quit complaining, and just play the game.

ty guys, very appreciated. I know the math behind it (its not my first build and i usually RIP around lvl 80) but i still think that GMP is useful, since it fills the area much faster with projectiles to deal constant (not "randomised") dmg. is that wrong? i mean when i take off GMP i have more tooltip DPS but i can still feel a decrease in clearspeed + i cant deal constant dmg to one target. The "sparks" just fly around and hit monsters randomly. With GMP it doesnt matter, because there are projectiles everywhere :D
chain would be another option i think, but as far as i know u cant use fork, chain and pierce linked to the same active skill gem, right? Only one would apply. |

They all apply just fine, but they cannot occur simultaneously.
When a Projectile strikes an enemy, the game first checks if the Projectile Pierces. If it does, then that's that - the Projectile continues on its merry way. If the Pierce roll fails, continue to Fork. Fork is a 100% deal, but also one-time. Projectile Forks. If a Projectile does not Pierce and has already Forked (or has 0% Fork chance :P ), Chain is checked. Linking both Fork and Chain does work - the Forked Projectiles will Chain twice. |
|
" Only problem is that it takes away from possible damage increases. Lightning Penetration and Spell Echo are required, so that's three sockets taken already. Then a fourth when you use Fork or Chain. That leaves two more for damage. Empower is a must-have if you have it, leaving only one more socket. |

Spark / Light Pen / Spell Echo / Pierce = core.
If you have a Drillneck and use a Voltaxic Rift, remove Light Pen. 5L+ = Empower (3/4), PCoC, Crit Damage, Added Lightning/Chaos, Faster Casting. [3.26] ❄️⚡CantripN's Hadoken! - Lightning Conduit Permafreeze⚡❄️
