BSOD (Not Soundblaster - Mouse Click related? Devs Pls look , Reports and Diag )
[Edit2] Well my mouse is USB so that's not it, but my keyboard is PS2 and that's what's using this driver. Weird. It happens when i click to go to a zone, not using my keyboard when i do that. [Edit2] [Edit] Just found the possible culprit when formatting the driver section of this report, could this be a mouse click issue in the game? Because the crashes Do happen as soon as a waypoint or portal is clicked - the very second i click it crashes). i8042prt i8042 Keyboard and PS/2 Mouse Port Driver i8042prt.sys 5.1.2600.5512 Kernel Running Per the WhoCrashed reports On Sat 2/9/2013 3:36:12 AM GMT your computer crashed crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini020813-01.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: i8042prt.sys (i8042prt+0xC48) Bugcheck code: 0x1000007F (0x8, 0xFFFFFFFFB8338D70, 0x0, 0x0) Error: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP_M file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\i8042prt.sys product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: i8042 Port Driver Bug check description: This indicates that a trap was generated by the Intel CPU and the kernel failed to catch this trap. [Edit] Well, this has been happening since i installed the game on occasion, usually when clicking on a waypoint to zone, or a TP. I have done a few things to try and remedy it, i've added the --softwareaudio command in my shortcut even though i don't have a soundblaster card. I've turned the graphics down to medium, which seem to stop the the .dds Texture pack crashes in Act 3, and updated my graphics driver, but the hard locks still occur - and i'm afraid it's going to hose my hard drive. Every once in awhile i think it's a graphics driver crash, which everybody gets on occasion in any game, but i've never had any Blue Screens in apps or games on this pc. This Pc runs really lean and is the most stable i've ever owned - with the game running and Vent i have at most like 29 processes running. I monitor my V Card with Riva Tuner so i know it's not overheating (60c Max) My CpU Core Temps are good (32c) I love the game, but this is killing it for me. This doesn't happen in LOL when playing the game for 5 hours straight, or Diablo, or Skyrim, ect... I'd really love to get this sorted or help the Devs trouble shoot this, as i dig the game and hope to play POE for a long time. So here is a few of the last crash dumps i was able to retrieve as well as a system info and DX info.
