Zealot's Oath Passive

In my build's passive tree, I run Chaos Inoculation, Ghost Reaver, and a passive called Zealot's Oath. What Zealot's oath is supposed to do is take life regeneration and apply it to your energy shield instead. I find that this passive either does not work properly, or is totally useless. For an example, a Life Flask says it will regenerate your life, but with Zealot's Oath you would assume it would regenerate energy shield. It does not. I got over this fact thinking it would be overpowered if I could be immune to chaos damage AND regen "life". I then tried two other abilities, Vitality and Rejuvenation Totem. Neither of these skills regenerated my energy shield either! Is this how the passive skill Zealot's Oath supposed to work?

Flasks grant life recovery, not regeneration (specifically worded differently so they don't interact with things that alter regeneration). However, Vitality and Rejuvenation Totem do work. The fact that they aren't for you makes me think that you probably have Vaal Pact as well, right? That nullifies your life regen, so ZO doesn't do anything.

I do not have Vaal Pact. I'm deliberately getting my shield down and see no difference from when I put my totem up and when I have it down. Vitality I may not be able to see clearly. More testing and leveling of the gem should be done

Vitality should be pretty obvious right off the bat, even 1% is nontrivial. Even .1% would be like 5 ES per second in any half-acceptable CI build, which you would at least be able to directly see working before your "natural recharge" began.

Vitality does regenerate ES when using Zealot's Oath, assuming Vaal Pact not taken.

Okay, I dismiss what I said about vitality, but what about rejuvenation totem? I see no difference when I put it down.

You should be able to test it by checking your character page when you put it down. Pretty sure that life regen comes up on the defences tab so I would assume that ES regen does also.

ZO needs some decent regen... to be noticeable, you should at least get around 3-5%
