Unable to kill Kraityn after own death

I died in a fight against Kraityn and chose to resurrect at Checkpoint. I was revived at the entrance of broken bridge but was teleported to Kraityn immediately after my first step. Then i could neither choose to kill nor kill him as seen in the screenshot. After relogin and creating a new instance it worked though.
