Adding Sockets to Helm?

I'm trying to add a 4th socket to my helmet, but it tell me it has the maximum number of sockets. What am I doing wrong?
Here is the item:

It's not corrupted and it only has 3 sockets. I've seen other Honourhome's with 4 sockets.

Hello,

To reach the possibility to 4s an item it have to be itemlevel 28 or higher.

Go ingame -> Left click on your helmet -> type in Chat "/itemlevel" without the ""

Let assume you drop it in a Level 27 Zone (press tab and you see it in the top right Corner)
Then the Maximum of sockets is 3 (since the itemlevel will be 27)

If you drop one in a Level 28 Zone, it can be 4 sockets since it's itemlevel 28.

But Keep in mind, if you are in a Level 26 Zone, and it drop from a rare Monster (yellow Monster) then it also can be 4 socket. Rare Monster add +2 itemlevel to the current Zone Level. Blue(Magic) Monster add +1 itemlevel.

I checked wiki but it doesn't say anything about it.

I've done it plenty of times. My current character has a 5s Quillrain equipped that's only iLevel 23 (normally only capable of being 3s) and I ran most of normal and early cruel with her using a 4s Hrimnor's Hymn with an iLevel of just 17 (barely even capable of be 3s normally), both made using Vorici's bench. Comes in handy every now and then.

I always use Vorici's bench to socket and link items. In addition to a guaranteed result, it doesn't take away the quality. You can also add sockets and links to corrupted items that way, but it'll cost you vaal orbs.
