What is the typical 6 link for arc?

Hi there!
Just a quick question about what is the best damage links for a 6 link arc! Currently using a Pledge of Hands (so no need for echo) Arc, inc crit dmg, lightning pen, faster casting, and last link I am using right now is Power charge on Crit! However, I will be using ass mark duo curse, which means I can replace power charge on crit. Planning on using empower to replace it, but would there be a better alternative for it? Don't hesitate to suggest me other kinds of arc links! I currently use arc/light pen/life leech/faster casting/+crit damage in my Pledge. When I 6 link it the last gem will be empower. Are you really doing fine without the life leech gem? I assume you use vaal pact right?

General question for all arcers: Whats your dps on arc with 5/6l? And is it critter?
I am not critting, using arc light pen, spell echo on +3 wand. ATM I have 10k dps on that. Probs around 16k with empower, near 20k with great gear. Changing penetration to level 3 empower when I get one for level 28 arc =D Asking as wondering if this is endgame viable compared to other builds. I like this as can run highlevel AA as my spells are pretty much free on mana and saving loads of crit nodes for tankiness. :P Sorry for OT just curious :> Edit. I just hit lvl 89 an hour ago and my Arc witch has 4100 life/4300 mana (this is Torment ofc)
13k dps unbuffed (just with light herald on) and around 16k-18k dps when I have power charges and atziri flask up I use 6s5l Pledge and Cloak of defiance. I started with lightning coil but the CoD feels better to me and gives me wayyy more mana and room for better other gear so I don't have to stack light res. I run purity of light/clarity/light herald (with curse on hit w/ assassin mark)/ and arctic armor. Since I got vaal pact a couple levels ago, I feel like its impossible to die and can just cruise through 78 maps :) I just recently started getting crit from passives like 5 levels ago and now my dps boosts by like 1-2k everytime I level. All my gems are currently level 19 and I cant imagine how much dps ill gain when I vaal and gcp them. In my 5 link COD I use Arc, light pentration, spell echo, added cold (quality) , and culling strike(quality). It works well for shocking and freezing/chill, which helps for defense.

Thank you for the replies! And sorry for my late reply! Went out for dinner and went to bed soon after I got home :P
Anyways, my life is fairly low, only at 3.1k hp. I need to find better gears since this character was actually a respec from glacial cascade. (at that time, I was still a newb, so most of my gear was just glass cannon.) Mana is sitting at around 2.6k-3k. Supporting a inner force lv16 AA perfectly fine. (can probably go up to lv18-19 before I find more mana regen gear) DPS is currently around 13.5k with only HoT as offensive aura. This build was originally following the one Foxtactic has, but unfortunately he no longer supports the build. (Just saying this cause I'm not sure if this build is heavy crit focus). But from what I see, I currently has about 22% crit chance with 300% crit multi. I still got a few crit chance and multi I can pick up when I level up more. ALL gems are only lv18, 0 quality, so when I get to 20/20, dmg will probably go up quite a bit! I do use Vaal Pack, and it's been working out great! Most of my deaths are usually caused by master daily in which zana sometimes gives deadly mods. (Fracture, turbo, animal+monster damage). I pretty much die when I get bursted and lose all my mana (Using CoD) which makes me unable to cast anything. Sorry for the long post, but just trying to give you fellow arcer something/someone else to compare xD And as for the empower as 6 L, I was just looking into which gems I should use for my 6th link as I really have no clue. But from what I am seeing, empower seems to be a great choice, I will probably look to purchase one and see how my dps goes(: |

Considering it will only cast one of them, that seems wasteful and stupid.
It's worth noting that +2 maps are a dangerous thing.
They can cause players to get out of their depth - playing maps that are too hard for the items they currently have. Herp Derp. |

hi 88 here runing a dual catalyst semi crit (~30%) arc witch 17k dps but i need to be careful with reflect, on my 5l CoD im using:
arc + spell Echo + faster casting + Lightning pen (sometimes swap for Item Rarity)+ and.... empower i cant find nothing better than empower, if i have a 6l prob i would use PCoC or LL to take VP. for a PoH i would recomended (apart of light pen, fast cast and empower) elemental proliferation, shock have a implicid shock chance (and %Q) and with Spell echo from PoH is really nice, the other slot can be iron will if you have more than 200 STR, culling(%Q) or just life leech |

Why go crit when you can get over 55 shock chance with the tree and quality gems, and wear a doryanis' belt for more?
