Sometimes my buttons do not work

When I'm in game sometimes my potion or map or inventory buttons do not work at all and i'll have to tap those button repeatedly for them to work. This isn't an internet issue because I have observed my Ping while playing the game and it stays around the 50-60 area which is pretty good, better than what I get when I play league of legends. Could Someone from GGG look into this please, I can't count the number of times I have died because I couldn't pop a couple of potions.

Hi, No the client doesn't stop responding, I can use my mouse buttons just fine (right and left clicks and the mouse click/wheel work) but pretty much any keyboard shortcut button will not work most of the time and i will have to repeatedly tap those specific buttons to make them work. I checked and it isn't a problem with my keyboard because all my buttons work in other games. My FPS is solid all of the time, usually capped at 60 fps. I turned vsync off however and this problem still persists. The only way I figured to fix the problem was to restart the game completely, but sometimes this will happen again while playing so I'm not sure what is exactly causing it.

what kind of keyboard do you have? There is a problem with low quality(aka cheap) keyboards that you can't press many buttons simultaneously. I don't have this problem with poe but when I play for example binding of isaac and accidentally press all WASD buttons my character "locks in motion" and I end up dead.

If you try to press many buttons simultaneously, some of them won't be executed.

Well my keyboard is built in as I am playing on a alienware 17 laptop. I thought that might have been the problem as well, but that's not the case. If I try to push buttons individually or simultaneously they will still take several button presses or a couple to work. I loaded into an instance right now to try to open up my map and I am standing perfectly still while pressing tab to open the map and it will work some times, and other times i will have to press the button several times to work. I tested today and it seems that this happens to my Inventory(I), World map(U), Potion buttons(Q,W,E,R,T), Instance map(Tab), Game Menu(Esc), Abilities(1,2,3,4,spacebar), Chat box(Enter), Events and PVP(B), Options(O), Social menu(S), Character stat menu(C), Passive tree(P), and Challenges/Achievements(H). I am using a Razor Naga mouse from 2012 and when I use the ability buttons for 1-4 this problem still happens, but it does not happen for right/left click or mouse wheel click and zoom in function. When I press enter to type into all chat, every single button works for typing in letters/numbers/symbols and the such.


EDIT: FPS display button does this as well (F1).

I don't really know what could cause this problem. It sounds like it could be ping related problem(playing with 500+ ms latency) but like you said in your first post you have 50-60 ms latency so that shouldn't be it. I hope somebody else can help you find the solution.

I have the same problem. In game, i have problems with hotkeys. I just opened googe chrome and typed 100 characters and not a single time i had a problem. It's definitely not a keyboard problem. This happened after i changed my 1-5 pot hotkeys to ASDFG...

On a new laptop, I have been experiencing this problem.

Running PoE as admin fixed the problem.

-I just started getting this a little bit last night, and especially today.
I hit buttons, they can lag, and queue up -> all releasing at the same time,

-Ping is fine, mouse is fine...
-hhmmm maybe keyboard is running low on battery... no
-maybe it's the keyboard itself... no it's fine outside of poe.

Even alt+tabbing in poe is lagging, which is the REALLY weird.

As suggested, I'll try running poe in admin and see if that helps.

windows7, i7 6700, gtx 1070, Logitech Wireless Keyboard K320.

OK this didn't work, I alt tabbed out of poe and I am getting the keyboard lag -> all key presses coming out at once. It seems to be related to poe, because now that I have it closed, all the issues go away.

Having the same problem here. Could not find out what it is.

But if I run the game as admin, then everything is smooth.

What could be the fundamental issue ? (so I dont always have to start as admin...)
