1.3 pillar of the lightning god (static strike PotCG build)

After seeing the new skill, static strike, and the new support, phys to lightning, i decided i wanted to make a build that took advantage of these 2 skills. Using a PotCG seemed almost like a no-brainer. In the past, with PotCG builds, you had to use skills like ground slam or sweep to really take advantage of it, but with the addition of static strike, phys to lightning and the new elemental passives on the tree, you can really leverage the physical damage from the staff into pure lightning damage (before auras/heralds of course).

Pros - Pillar is a cheap weapon - never have to get a new weapon - easy to gear for and gain damage boosts - can clear fast with a 4l - uses shocks and ignites to increase damage dramatically - Static strike works as both a single target and AoE damage skill Cons - needs specific Uniques to run optimally (belly of beast, carnage heart etc) - Not very hardcore viable - cant use a different weapon - cant get high life from the tree so reliant on Belly of the beast to leverage the hp gained through str - Cant use the leech on carnage heart with static strike and phys to lightning - can be difficult to get all the resists needed. Very interesting,might try it out. Any problems with mana so far? You dont pick up many mana nodes.
