Does anybody know what i did wrong? Or why it doenst work?
The steps i am taking - Put the Ilvl 78 dagger in the shop - Add Granite flask - Add orb of Augmentation Expected Result - Added #-# to physical damage My result - 2 scroll fragments and 5 shards of alteration |

Maybe double check to make sure you are using the right orb. If you use an alteration instead of an augmentation it might give the results you got.

I am 100% sure that i use the right orb,
I also gave the dagger to my friend together with the granite flask and the augmentation orb. HE also has the same result. I have also tested the recipe with my other char on normal, with a ilvl 78 bow, and here the recipe works normally Last edited by InSynCeD#1032 on Dec 18, 2014, 4:01:14 AM

That sounds like a bug and i think i have read about it somewhere before. What you can do is to use an augment on the dagger to give it a second stat and then do the recipe. The second mod will then disappear and the phys should be upgraded by one tier.
Alternatively i personally would just use alterations on the dagger until you get an Annealed or Razor Sharp roll and then use the recipe to upgrade it to Tempered, which will also automatically delete the second mod. This way you will save a bunch of Granite Flasks. 11.02.2013 - 11.02.2017: four year PoE anniversary!

Maybe it has the tempered mod already on it?
It's free, quit complaining, and just play the game.

Nope, "Tempered" is the second highest tier of flat physical damage mods and this item has the lowest tier "Glinting" as you can see in the item name.
The granite recipe will always remove any other mods while upgrading the flat physical one by one tier. If you use it on a weapon without any flat phys, it will give it the Glinting mod. Note, however, that the recipe is capped at the second highest tier (Tempered) so you cannot get the highest one this way (Flaring). 11.02.2013 - 11.02.2017: four year PoE anniversary!
