Higher level Base items?

Couldn't find this anywhere. I was wondering if there will be anymore higher level base items. like what they did with the sacrificial garb. Are there, for example, going to be lv 71 axes, boots, etc. Maybe in 1.4? Seeing how the monsters would get stronger, there would be a need for stronger base equipment?

No. It mustn't. It better not. Creep is already a huge problem with this game. The fact that they've charged people $1000 to design a unique should give those uniques some permanent place in the game. If they're going to creep them into obsolescence, those donors will have a right to be pissed.

Adding "new" levels is just a way to make the old stuff worthless.

Every supporter unique is widely used and no supporter uniques have ever been nerfed into less powerful states.

I don't agree with Shagsbeard, but that's it because I think higher level areas could be made without making the lesser one obsoletes.

Things like making higher level areas smaller, new bases with bizarre properties, etc. could avoid to make the rest of the game obsolete...

They'll remove Cruel instead.

They have said that they will NEVER include a higher base item than existing ones because it would lower the value of current crafted items.

They might release more variations of same power level (similar defenses etc).
