Can they critical strike?
Do they take into account your current cast speed(for spell totems) or attack speed?(for ranged attack totems?)
Are status ailments made affected by your nodes?
What other notable stats do they take into account and which ones they don't?

Totems cast your spells.
Anything that would improve your spells applies to totem usage.

The bonuses are applied dynamically?
Say, I acquire a buff while the totems are up, do they receive the bonuses too as I do? Or do they "register" the current state as I cast them?
If they lifeleech, do they heal me?
Do ranged totems work with Point Blank?
Do they receive benefit from my auras?
Do they apply *all* bonuses my weapons have?

Does the improvements also work with say, +% faster projectiles on a wand eventho the totem gem is in body?

Just making sure... So Point Blank Ranged Attack Totems take into account the *totem's* range when attacking and not mine, correct?

Yes, this is the case.
Point Blank works on the distance from the origin of the projectile. Since the projectile originates at the totem, it counts from there.

totems actually do gain charges, at least from WM.
