Your 3 favorite WC3 TFT custom maps?

Since these forums hold a lot of old geezers, i am sure many of you played wc3 TFT at one stage.

What are your most memorable custom maps in wc3 tft?

my personal top 3

1) dota
2) YouTD
3) LegionTD

Dota most likely being the best known for it's success. I still remember when you could use dagger of escape at any time in this map even after being attacked :O, this game was and still is glorious imo.

YouTD, not sure if this is a known map among wc3 tft players, bassicaly it's a form of tower defense which was based around the fact the entire community could participate in it's creation.

People could create items and towers and submit them to the creator of the map or on YouTD.com (you still can btw)

Over time this has become a very in-depth tower defense map that involves buffing tower stats with potions/items and a complex rock/paper/scissor's for of attack/defense type (counts 9 forms of attack and defense if i am not mistaken)

Current tower count : around 780 if i am not mistaken(i was mistaken the site list's around 1200+ towers currently, not sure if all are in game do)
current item count : around 650 i think

has 5 different rarity types of items and 4 different rarity tiers in towers. 240 waves of creeps followed by an "endless" wave if you make it so far.


Legion TD is another tower defense map, it counts +-40 races i think and is a pvp map (4vs4) towers have different special ability's and come alive when the wave of creeps appears.
(basically you build your army as a static tower and the moment the wave starts they are replaced with units)

You are able to send additional units to join the creep wave vs your opponents and this increases your income every wave.

I found this TD very pleasant because of the unit combinations and the strategic placement while static vs becoming units and movement pattern vs the wave once this happens.



I can recommend any of these custom maps to you guys :) they are extremely fun to play.

edit : it's an old blizzard game (well it's old by now i guess) and it came with a "map generator", which allowed the community to build there own maps etc.

So there are some really sweet marvels of maps available online for this game which took hours upon hours of work to construct.

Dota being the most popular custom map i think created with the original map generator of WC3 Tft.

Wc3mods:
the one with the resident evil theme, surviving against bazillion undeads and fetching crates with weapons and ammunition. If you get bitten by the tiniest zombie you slowly died, and there was only one antivenom.
99% chance to die, 99% chance for zombies to win.
1%chance to get a skilled enough group to make it and kill the nemesis.
