Level 8 Vorici and white sockets?

Does a white socket change the behavior of rolling sockets with Vorici at all? In other words, will the white socket be preserved in any situation?

Afaik using Vorici rerolls sockets until the requested result, so you'll lose your white socket...

can anyone actually confirm this? i also "think it works" like this, but would like to know for sure.

The average player doesn't even consider trying this, because white socketed items can often be quite valuable due to their flexibility.
What I suggest, for those interested, is to buy one from a player for very cheap (I'm pretty sure you can find junk with white sockets being sold for much less than the vaal orb itself), and find out for yourself. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. | |
