Darkscorn CI Bow-Ele/Crit Shadow

The simple idea behind this build is to take advantage of Darkscorn very interesting mod which converts 25% of all damage that will be taken into Chaos damage - which of course we are immune due to Chaos Innoculation.

The bow itself has a somewhat demanding 213 Dexterity which is somewhat difficult to overcome unless you're trying to gear with stat in mind; which is not always possible.

The way this character is built is reliant on hitting the basic projectile damage and int and mana to allow you to spam to your heart's content and breeze through Normal. From the start of Cruel you should now rein in your fun a little bit - hold back on the DPS related now and progress toward getting enough resistances and ES nodes. Investing in Life Leech support gem and finally all around getting ready for CI.

At around 46-50 you should be finishing Cruel and starting on Merciless. In first Act I'd recommend sticking to parties and dealing our your insane crit-fuelled DPS while nestled away within your group members.

Once ACT 2 hit you should be ready for CI. Grab that awesome awesome Darkscorn Bow and now not only are you dishing out very decent DPS as well as being decently tanky.

In terms of skills Lightening Arrow is the typical bread-n-butter Elemental DPS, but you could supplement this with a variety of curses or other ability. LMP + Ice Shot and/or Temporal Chain will keep you alive while dishing our the DPS.

Since you'll have the mana for it, why not run Grace and Clarity as well? Wrath and Anger will complement your build nicely given your crit rate.

In terms of gear, nothing extremely important springs to mind; just make sure it contains a decent mix of ES and Evasion and all should be good.

Musings

Seems like Darkscorn would fit a physical build better than elemental?

A quality Added Chaos Damage support gem might be useful since the 10% increased chaos damage will apply to the converted damage.

Arrow Dodging + Grace would be very useful.

If you are going for Lightning Arrow it makes sense to get Arcing Blows, which is right next to the build path.
