Projectile dmg vs physical

As the title says, what is the main difference between physical damage for bows and projectile damage. Which is more usefull and by how much for physical damage archer.
I had the same question on this, im guessing it affects all bow dmg? including elemental?

Also how is elemental dmg affected by this skill?

As far as i know projectile damage gives boost not only to bow skills but for some of the magic skills aswell (so it gives damage to elemental skills that are projectiles), but no idea which is better psy damage with bows or projectile damage. NEED HELP.
It depends on a lot of things whether physical damage is good at all. Projectile damage is good for all ranged builds. If your gear has a lot of +phs damage, then +phys% is good. If it has a lot of +ele damage, then it's obviously not.

My guess is that damage is calculated as such:

Total up physical damage minus armor mitigation.
Total up each elemental damage minus resistance mitigation.
Add phys+ele damage then multiply by the projectile damage.
*Note that I don't take into account crit/critdmg, block/evasion, etc.

Damage = ((phys*(1 + phys%) - armor%) + (ele*(1 + ele%) - resist%))*(1 + proj%)

Projectile damage for bows increases both physical/elemental damage.

final dmg = (phys + ele)*(1+proj%)
