Perquil the Lucky - Storm Call stacks but no markers if frozen

I was playing a ice spear build in beyond and ran into this issue.

I he dropped a bunch of storm call markers as I was running around, and then I got a freeze on him and the markers stopped. Continued to get freezes and lock him down, and then I missed a freeze and was instantly killed by a massive amount of storm calls landing right on my head even though there were no markers.

If he is going to keep casting his ability while frozen he really should put the markers on the ground.

Another note I forgot, the order which the storm calls went off was not in the order they were placed on the ground, but the once which were invisible went off first.
