Item Rarity vs Item Quantity

By my understanding "Item Rarity" is an almost useless stat since it ONLY improves the chances of magic/rare/unique items dropping as opposed to white. Drops in this game are fairly terrible and expensive to improve as opposed to upgrading a white item using orbs (crafting nearly always nets better results than items that "drop").

"Item Quantity" increases the chances of orbs dropping, which at endgame seems to be the main focus.

Do I understand correctly how these stats work? Item Quantity is the better stat to aim for ideally?
A healthy mix of both is where its at :D
GGG - Why you no?
You can get it by gear or with a support gem, if you don't want to have that stats on the gear, just try to get quantity support gem and try to stack some rarity on gear.

Both are equally important, quantity gem specially, much bigger chance that @rng will flush some good stuff on the ground.
GGG thank you for all the great things you are doing. You have combined every element of all other great Rpg's and joined them together as one Diamond, that will shine Forever.

This is coming straight from the heart <3

To be honest I sit at about 120% MF and about 32% quantity and all I can say is junk is all I get every day all day. Even the yellows I get, say I get 500 in a 6 hour span only one would be good maybe.
quality and quantity enhancers don't have anything to do with how good your item rolls are, just how many items and what rarity they are
Just to throw some of the info I've acquired out there.

Item Quantity is easy to bump since each other person beyond the first in a party (and in instance) grants (equivalent) to +50% IQ.

As far as I know, Item Rarity is only modified by equipped gear. This means (least to me) if you want to farm well, get friends to join along and run as much IR as possible.

Mind you, equipped IR/IQ only applies to monsters slain by you (so chests are kinda weak for farming atm). Also, since Magic/Rare/Unique monsters seem to have a bonus to IR, it's best to focus on them. With regards to if they have bonus to IQ or a higher flat drop #, I don't particularly know, but i'm feeling that its the former.
