Poachers Mark vs Assassins for Ranged Crit
Assuming you get power charges from other sources, which curse ultimately provides more Crit opportunity?
Does poacher's mark "less evasion" outweigh the flat crit chance provided by Assassin's mark? Not questioning which curse is better overall, just which one will grants best crit chance. Last edited by bullsonparade#7258 on Sep 5, 2014, 2:22:55 PM

I assume it would depend on how much accuracy or base crit you have. Probably assassin's mark, imo.

depends , do you use power charge on crit ? , if yes , then a huge selling point for assassins is gone.
oddly enough most of my crit archer friends dont use any curses at all because they kill too fast for it to matter. Last edited by Saltychipmunk#1430 on Sep 5, 2014, 3:12:52 PM

" Yeah, with crit builds it's normally inefficient to do anything but spam your damage skills, imo. I normally acquire charges via cwdt (icespear + pcoc, enduring cry). Poachers mark adds frenzy to the mix as a slight bonus. All thing being equal, I'm thinking Poachers might be better. |

Also depends on main skill(s) and base crit chance. Poachers if you have no issues with power charges.
My pcoc puncture/split arrow ranger uses Vulnerability instead. Tried using both assasins and poachers but neither really beneift me that much when my crit chance with 5 power charges up is 84%. You pretty much crit all the time and melt stuff without it being useable. Vulnerability with Puncture on the other hand is much better for bosses. IGN: Munkehboi

" Would it be more advantageous to run Assassin's Mark (instead of Poacher's Mark) and not use the Power Charge On Crit support gem and use a damage increasing support gem like Increased Crit Strike Multiplier in its place? Last edited by AlfaTangOh#2678 on Sep 10, 2014, 1:20:19 PM
