Screen Freezing when minimizing window.

I really with I knew what caused this, it has happened several times, but I'm not certain the exact pattern that causes it, but every so often, when I'm clicking around through several taskbar programs, I will come back to PoE and the screen will be frozen. Just visually. You can still click around and things happen - if you know where the menus are you can click hrough them and the asound effects change respectively, cast spells and stuff - but the screen itself will remain frozen and only update when you cycle to another program or back. Only way to resolve the freeze is to close out completely and reload.
This seems to happen most often when I am minimizing it to start bar, via the start bar Icon, but even that isn't terribly consistant, because I can think of times when it has worked fine. It's an infrequent and frustratingly elusive glitch. All testing done with display mode set to "windowed" (nb: this has happened for a while - before even Sacrifice of the Vaal came out, so it's not related to the expansion) "If you’re incompetent, you can’t know you’re incompetent. i rarely play in windowed mode, only windowed fullscreen to have easy access to my database progs on the second monitor but i just tested the normal window mode and it works just fine.
rescaling the window in windowed mode to a smaller size works and scaling it up so it occupies both monitors with a absolute 3840*1200px works as well. this is on win7x64 running on a core i7 2200 cpu, 8 Gig RAM and GTX780 GPU with driver version 332.21. my guess is devs would be happy to get the same information about your computer from you. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill! Man, this got buried out of my outbox, but I'm still having the problem, so here goes.
win 7 X64 i5 32?0 series bout 6 gigs of ram and a GT 650m with about a half a dozen different drivers, so it's not that. Same problem,
happens every now and then when I maximize PoE from taskvar during a loading sequenz. win 7 x64 AMD Athlon x4 640 processor 3Ghz AMD Radeon HD 6670 4 GB RAM How about some feedback, please. First post August 2014 and still happening? Those bugs that hard to locate? |
