How many curses can be active at the same time?

Hi,

I am wondering how many curses you can have active on the same mob at the same time as a base. I see there is a passive skill to give +1 active curse, but how many is the default?
Default is 1 curse.

Maximum is 5:

+1 from the passive

+2 from 2x Deodre's Damning rings

+1 from windscream boots
IGN: Dominion / Clamor
Any idea how that works when playing in a party? With 3 people (with no items or passives that increase max curses) casting a different curse each, only last one stays up right?

Same deal if all 3 had +1 to max curses nodes? 2 last ones stay up?

How about curses with infinite duration node? Can it still be overwritten by "weaker" 9s duration curse, and when that 9s curse ends will the infinite duration curse get back on without having to be recast?

Sorry for hijacking the topic by the way, but I've been wondering these things for a bit, never really stumbled on an answer and figured I would finally ask about them in a curse related topic.

Player 1 can cast only 1 curse
Player 2 can cast only 1 curse

Outcome: Players overwrite each others curses.


Player 1 can cast 2 curses
Player 2 can cast only 1 curse

Outcomes: If player 2 casts a curse first, the first curse that player 1 casts will stack (The mob will be afflicted by 1 curse from each player), if player 1 uses his other curse, it will overwrite the curse that player 2 used.


I haven't tested infinite duration being overwritten by the same curse without infinite duration. I assume it would overwrite but would love to hear the answer to this if someone knows.

Yes.

Bearing in mind. If you've stacked 5 curses on a mob and someone casts 1 curse, it will wipe all of your curses*. So just make sure you've told them not to curse things and you keep up your side of the deal by keeping everything cursed.

I can fill in the rest....if P2 were then to curse again, his one curse would overwrite both of P1's curses, and when it wears off P1's curses would not reappear and must be recast. In short if you meet someone who can do more than 1 Curse, and youu cannot, it's probably better that you do not curse at all!
Did you know level 91 is the halfway point to level 100? This means that a softcore character dying ONCE at level 85+ can lose many days of progress.
