Totem Questions (w/ Summon Raging Spirit)

I've never used totems before and was thinking of using them with Summon Raging Spirit, but I had a few questions:

1) I believe that each Totem counts as their own being. If so, if I were to summon 2 Totems via Ancestral Bond (and 3 with Soul Mantle) would each of them be capable of summoning 50, thereby giving me up to 150 possible Raging Spirits?

2) Would passives that would normally affect me affect my totem? The initial question I had in mind was: Would +Duration passives affect not only the Totem Duration, but the Duration of Spirits summoned by that Totem?

3) How is Totem Cast Speed affected? Is it all based on my own Cast Speed and therefore my Cast Speed passives apply to it, or is it strictly TOTEM Passives only that affect Totem Cast Speed, or are Totem Passives in addition to my own Cast Speed?

4) Since these totems are summoning and Raging Spirits inherently isn't a Spell that does Damage, I would assume +Totem Damage modifiers do not assist in this, or am I wrong about that?

I want to know if its realistically possible to have 3 totems that are making 150 raging spirits at rapid speed with the right equipment and passives.

Thanks for the answers :D

1) no, 50 is the limit of skill.. but it would be impossible anyways due to short spirit duration and low totem cast speed

2) support gems will work normally, they would increase duration of both the totem and minions, but minions cant benifit from your passives and gear (with exception of those having "minion" in description)

3) totem uses your cast speed + totem cast speed (but has 30% less cast speed penalty)

4) yes you are wrong, totem support says "less damage", it does not specify the damage type or anything thus your minions will have 50% less damage

In response to answer 2, why exactly wouldn't Minions being Summoned NOT be affected by "+Skill Duration" passives on the tree? The Summon Abilities (Zombies, Skeletons, Raging Spirits" all have Duration modifiers. Why wouldn't +Duration passives such as the "+10% Skill Effect Duration" not be applied to though, considering a "Spell" is indeed a skill, and Summon Zombies is a Spell that has a Duration modifier?

4) I was referring to totem passives on the tree that state "+Totem Damage", not the "Less Damage" modifier on the "Spell Totem" gem, but if you're saying "Less Damage" will affect the summons, then "+Totem Damage" should also.

Thanks for the answer regardless. If anyone has anything else to add, especially those that have tried this, it would be nice to know.

Though at the very least, it should be possible for at least 2 totems to summon the base 50 effectively with the proper passives, correct?
edit: originally missread the 2), sorry

increase skill duration from the passives will work, duration is a property of the skill, not the ability of minion itself

totem damage will not work. It is not the totem who is dealing the damage, it is the minion

2. He's basically right your bonuses not affecting minions, however their duration counts as a skill effect, it's not their stat but yours.

4. However totem damage is your bonus which applies only if totem effects deal damage directly, it can't affect minion damage stats even if they were spawned by a totem.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Then overall, this seems like a pretty poor idea, may just be better to buff cast speed and spell echo and do it all yourself.

Thanks for the answers.
yea, it would not be optimal..

You can try Cast on Crit if your goal is to have 50 spirits up.. I was thinking about Sceptre ground slam build (with Ungils in offhand), have it theorycrafted for ages and still havent realised it.. but it wouldnt be easy to make it work..
