No maligaro spike

Killed Weaver in normal as I always do with a flameblast / chance to ignite levelling build. Weaver died through ignite I THINK as she was just climbing the web out of the screen. Loot dropped but no spike.

Went to Silk and got the quest reward and opened a new instance of Weaver's Chambers to kill Weaver again (this time via normal flameblast without ignite) and still no spike. Please help? Thanks.

Does your quest log still say to kill the weaver?

What happens if you try and poison the tree? After the server's got vaal orbed a few months ago and people got rolled back this quest was a big problem, but Rhys changed the quest so that situations like this should have been fixed.
