Most likely explanation: human nature. Someone in your party did loot the item and then pretended not to know anything about it for insert_random_reason_here.

Id like to see the chat log. To make your claim credible do as said before. Put in paint, black out names. Easy. Post screenshot with blacked out names.

Chris confirmed that the 5th unique isn't actually dropping yet due to last-minute issues, and it should start dropping come monday.
