Why can't I whisper some players?

Hello,
when I try to whisper some players, their names turn red in chat and it seems that they are not online. However, when I check with /whois <name> they appear online. Is there something I'm missing? |

Just because the name turns red doesn't absolutely mean they aren't online or getting your messages. If you get the message after you send a whisper telling you they are not online - then they aren't.
