Dual Flame Totem [Invasion]

A powerful build with great survivability without Iron Reflexes. How? Lightning Coil + Evasion + Blind.

Lightning Coil provides a flat 40% physical damage reduction while Flame Totems instantly blind things causing Evasion to actually work :-P With this you can pretty much afk dangerous attackers like Xandro Blooddrinker and Beheader Ataguchu.

The damage is very good too for a HC build. Once I changed from the 2H Spectral Throw lvling build into Ancestral Bond after Normal mode, I jumped 15 levels and 2120 Ladder spots in about 7 hours.

Once I hit mid Merc I had to farm and sell some until I could get a Lightning Coil because at the time it was pretty rare.

With a garbage crafted wand and a 3linked lvl 17 Flame Totem gem my GMP dps is 770. If you count all of the flames from both totems that's basically 7700dps. For 5th and 6th link I will use Fire Pen and Faster Casting. Ele resist mobs are not too much of a problem with Added Chaos.

For leveling, no respec is required. Just use Spectral Throw-LMP-LGOH with whatever good weapon you find and follow this path.

Spec into Ancestral Bond after you hit Cruel. Be sure to get max resists. Cruel Dominus was not too hard with Blind. Once you hit lvl60 get a Lightning Coil because Evasion alone is not going to cut it in late Merc.

Acrobatics Version I may try

loving it thus far. currently 52 in act 2 merc. I leveled to 24 with ST then I just started using searing bond which I still use for running through things. Flame totem mostly for bosses and rare mobs.

Up to 57 in A2 Merc and these totems are tearing shit up. Love it.
