Portals should persist through DC

I think it wouldnt hurt anybody if the Portals would persist just like the map progress and fade with the map progress.
With all the DCs and crashes happening, it would safe alot of time (I just spend like 4hours doing the last piety dungeon and still didnt kill her becouse of DCs) and even when the Beta ends, It could help out anyone with connection problems aswell. Its just frustrating to do the same content over and over again becouse you loose your progress at/just before the boss. Last edited by damajer#5719 on Jan 29, 2013, 4:19:14 PM

I'm surprised this isn't already implemented for the time being (even in CB it was asked for IIRC)..
I'd imagine there would be a glitch in the game where more than 1 portal can be opened by a player if they were to persist through a dc... all speculation though. IGN Suojata

" It doesn't persist. It just function as how the portal is now. In other words, it will disappear once you use it from town to get back to where you cast it. The changes would be if you disconnected and get reconnected back, it will remain there as long as the instance still persist. Just imagine you cast a portal at the entrance, you died and you come back to the area after you resurrect. And now it applies to disconnection as well. Pants are for nephalem, we are exiles, we do not need pants.

I'd just like to add my support to this idea, it would definitely lessen the frustration with disconnections.
What have you become when even nightmares fear you?
