Sockets on items from Ambush chests

Not sure if intended or not but the number of sockets that can roll on items from ambush chests isn't limited by ilvl. I have received multiple 5 socket items from sub 30 chests and a 6 socket from a level 33 chest.
Can anyone else confirm this? This thread has been automatically archived. Replies are disabled.

The base number of sockets the item rolls is limited by itemlevel. But there are strongbox mods both to raise the itemlevel of the chest, and to add extra sockets to dropped items.
