This is what will happen after they buffed rainbow back

The following content only represents my personal opinion, your discretion advised.

Since GGG has decided to buff something they turned into legacy, GGG has single handedly broken the trust between players and the game economy(GGG).

I have lost 250+ ex in book value, for some it is not much, for normal players, they could have bought a good set of gears with this amount of ex.

I am not here to QQ or anything. What has been done cannot be undone unless they can undone what cannot be done.
Therefore, I am here to just share my thoughts with you, and hopefully can help you avoid any future losses.

It is safe to say that from now on every 4 months before mini-patch, the game economy will crash due to the fear of GGG buffing their nerfed legacies.
People will start dumping their legacies before patch note to avoid any substantial losses.

I still do not believe GGG would choose to turn AA legacy instead of nerfing block directly. It is a stupid decision on GGG's part because turning something into legacy does not resolve the existing problem. Players with legacy AA can still enjoy what is called the OP build, only the new players would suffer because they wont be able to afford any legacy nor to compete with existing players. However, with a second thought, I believe it is more likely that GGG indeed do not care about the standard league at all. They are simply here to test everything and treat us like mice. They expect everyone to go play the new league every 4 months and buy their microtransactions. Perhaps this is their business model, I dont know.

In sum, this is a good learning experience. I dont care about how much ex I have lost, because every ex I have lost is worthy.

In other news, I have several Maligaro Gloves and Bringer of Rain... even though I "gained wealth" I am not happy either.

Legacy Uniques is just horrible.

I'd be happy if Standard and Hardcore leagues would become Legacy Standard/Hardcore and new ones made.

I bought a respite for 19 exalts hoping they would allow me to create a taming

I have a metric crap ton of legacy uniques including an original rainbowstrides (which is still the best btw )



Ah well we gamble those exalts every time we use or trade them ...the only way to be sure is to not trade ever.


Edit : for the record I never liked the idea of legacy uniques ...it should be retroactive an I have always felt this way in any game that has item "balance" constantly.

For real, this game would be so much better if they just delete STD/HC and start over. I don't care I lose my high level STD chars, it is just a filth league to play in.

EDIT: The only good thing about STD is I have several characters that will get respec tree so I will use them to test what I want to make for the new HC league.

What did you expect? You should be prepared for item rebalances. If you invested a lot into legacies, it's your fault, the player, for putting any additional value on a slightly more powerful item.

I hope they rebuff the remaining crap youre hoarding away.

Items aren't sure 100% bet investments. Learn to diversify kid.

Compete? On Standard? What is there to compete in? You are going on a fucking crusade on Legacy items cos YOU invested wrongly. Hell, you were trying to sell AA's, telling people to buy them before they become legacy, for like 30-40ex? Lol.

1. 20% movement speed???? = you move like a snail.
2. 20% all elemental resistance??? = get more on a rare item.

As I see it they didn't buff this item again. One of the good things about Rainbowstrides was always the 160ES and 90-100 mana. Same reason why its still so overly popular despite the current 8% allress.

However I do agree with your views on the standard league. I feel for the time investment required, doing the new leagues would make no sense when they only have a 4 month duration. Its simply to short.
I feel something is wrong too when you can earn more playing the 4month leagues selling items like Headhunter (+other league specific items that will turn legacy) rather than a player that actually plays standard.

So how much are you selling Original Flavor Rainbowstrides for?


(Bonus question, how much did you pay for them? I bet you didn't take a single loss, you just won't be able to fuck somebody over quite as badly, now.)
