Unable to connect to patching server

Hi, I understand that the patching servers might be having problems (as indicated above), however I even went out of my way to download a full torrent of the patched client thanks to folks on reddit.
I have the fully patched client and all I need to do is login, but I've just been getting "Unable to connect to patching server" for the last several hours. Just a thought, but if the registry keys are kept on the torrent, then it won't be able to be used by multiple people. i doubt it's the problem but i suggest trying to patch the official downloaded client just incase.

Unfortunately I tried patching the official client for the first 4 hours and it has never connected.

Having similar problems. Whenever I open the application I am given a message: "Unable to connect to the patching server" I feel like I've tried everything. I'm a mac user using an unofficial version. I'm desperate!!

Same problem, but I've been playing since July 2012 :\
I played yesterday, then tried getting on today and I got this error. I tried port forwarding like they said in another thread, but that didn't work. That, or I did it wrong. If someone could give a step by step processes on how to port forward PoE, that would be great. Someone please help!!! |

just want to patch yesterday and continue this morning. yesterday there was no problem but today, unable to connect to the patching server :/ |

Right click on your client and add --patching-server pathofexile.com:3724 to your target launch box, at the end it should look something like this "C:\Program Files (x86)\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile\PoE.exe.exe" --patching-server pathofexile.com:3724
