saved game login credentials
|
Is it currently possible to switch off the last successful login credentials from being displayed? I could not find a UI setting for this and it does not save unsuccessful logins. If not then it should be implemented.
Installed and played the game at an Internet cafe and found out at the end that I could not wipe these credentials. Would not want someone else to be able to access my saved credentials. Ended up changing the password so the saved login credentials would not work anymore. A boy's will is the wind's will, and the thoughts of youth are long long thoughts...

If i recall correctly this is on the to-do list.

Yeah this is on the todo list still sorry. For now if you go to "My Documents\My Games\Path of Exile" and delete (or edit and delete the stuff under "Login") production_Config.ini you can remove the saved credentials.

I love the fact that you don't have to enter your password everytime you start the game. I hope they don't remove that.

" Can the hashed password be used indefinitely? That is, is it possible for someone to just take the hashed password, save it in their config file and then log onto your account? |

I would appreciate two additional options at the login screen
"Don't save my credentials" and "Hide username" I'm sure more than a few streamers are receiving some very interesting spam mail because of the visible nature of their email address. |
|
" When they get around to changing it, there'll invariably be an option to turn it on or off. :) Would be silly to remove it entirely, since they already have it. |
|
" I believe that is currently the case, so if you play on an untrusted computer you should clear your password. Not sure if this will change in future, but the UI option to not save your password is definitely on the list. The hashing is currently to protect the plain text password in case you've used it anywhere else (which you should never do!). | |
" It'd also be nice to make the email stored and not visible as well. It makes me kinda nervous for streamers when they login and their email is visible. Running isn't freedom. You should know that.
ighnaz - Thanks for the beta key!!!! I HAVE NO MORE BETA KEYS!! |

" That would probably be a very good thing, I get nervous for them too! And since they have to log out when they change characters it would be a pain in the ass to hide the screen every time. |
