Use multiple orbs without rightclicking each time?

I saw in various videos that you can use a stack of orbs by only having to right click it once and then continuously clicking on the item you want to use it on (instead of having to right click every time you want to use the orb). How do you do this?

Believe its by holding down CTRL when you click on the currency, then not letting go of it as you click the item you want to apply it too continuously.

Right click the currency, then hold left control, followed by left clicking to use the currency, do not release left control until you have decided you are finished using the currency.
