aim at monster

Hi everyone,do you also find hard to aim at monster or is it just me???

Diablo 3 made it a LOT easier to aim at monsters..

Diablo 2 hit the sweet spot, it was relatively easy to target monsters, but you couldn't just hover the mouse in the general area and expect to have the monster targeted..

Path of Exile is more like Diablo 1 in that aspect; you need to have the mouse exactly over the monster to be able to target it.


That being said, I would like it if the targeting box was made a little bigger so aiming would be easier.

I think he's referring to the aim bug where, even when clicking directly on the enemy, nothing happens if they are next to a wall or static object because the game thinks the foe is in the object or behind it. It's annoying to hold down a button attempting to attack an enemy and do nothing...

As revealed on Krip's stream, that bug is fixed.

Most of the time I prefer to aim projectile spells in the direction of a mob instead of hovering the mouse directly over them, and I've noticed that while hitting mobs directly above or below you is easy, hitting mobs to the sides requires you to aim slightly lower than you'd expect. I'm pretty sure this is because projectile aim is calculated from the player's feet rather than weapon level, as if the game sees combat as a 2D overhead view. So to be effective you have to aim for the mob's feet rather than their torso. This is my experience at least.
