Super annoying screen tear.

Hello,

I have a pretty good system: i5 4670k, Radeon r9 280x, 8gb ram etc.

Howerver, I get some very annoying screen tear when playing with Windowed Fullscreen mode.
Simple Fullscreen shows no signs of screen tear.

I followed all the "fixes" I found online but none of them work.

I have tried: Playing with the V-Sync, both from in-game and via the Cataclyst Center, enabling triple filtering, etc. None have worked.

My drivers are all up to date.

Any help is much appreciated.

could you take a screen shot of the problem and post it here?

I had this issue before and tried everything bar replacing the gfx card. It progressively got worse and i found out the video card was dieing slowly.

I can't post a screenshot, because it looks like it doesn't capture the screen tear.

Ill just describe it: it's a horizontal line stretching across the entire screen, sort of blurry, and everything above the line seems shifted about 1-2mm.

Only occurs when I move.

any ideas?

The common solution is to enable v-sync, but you've tried that.

Perhaps some information from a dxdiag report would help. Please run dxdiag and paste the report here in Spoiler tags.
