Blood Magic and % Mana Skills

The other day I had the idea of using the Blood Magic and Iron Will gems on my level 42 templar, it was the first time I had ever used the Blood Magic gem with this skill and was just curious to how everything would work. It was definitely not a permanent addition to my character. I had used Righteous Fire before and had the misconception that any gem/gem combination would not reduce my health to zero but stop at 1.
I thought I could go out into the environment and use this skill, be reduced to 1hp but survive, and even though it costs 250% more to cast the skill, I still thought I would survive with 1hp, or just be prevented from using the skill all together.
However when I entered Ruthless Terraces and cast the spell, I instantly killed my highest level hardcore character. I was pretty upset at myself but I've since started a new hardcore character and have learned from my mistake.

I was wondering if in the next patch GGG can come out with a few more tool tips that can prevent things like these from happening. If any skill is used, while you do not have the Chaos Inoculation passive node, to not reduce my health to zero, but 1, so as not to instantly kill myself from full health. For example; in my situation, where I had Blood Magic and Iron Will, my weapon or piece of gear that had these gems in them could not be used. It would look the same and have the same effect as having an item that you could initially use, then by adding a gem who's stat/level requirement you do not have, the item becomes impossible to use. There could also be a tip that comes up that would explain that this skill would reduce your character to 0 hit points and cannot be used together.

This would mean that any character with chaos inoculation could not use any skills, flasks, or anything that costs health which i believe is an ok move and will improve the game

RIP me. I will definitely pay more attention to which skill gems and support gems I combine in the future.

*Edit* After checking my character it was not Iron Will, but Determination that used 40% reserved mana. Sorry for the mistake!
