Character and Depth

I must say that a lot of badasss work has been done to make PoE a great looking game. I do wish we had a camera view option but the attention to depth of detail on every level (not just the world) is amazing.

On characters - Will there be gender choices for classes in the future? I almost always play some sort of ranged class (usally Ranger) in every game I play that has it so I am currently playing a female character. Not a big deal but it is kinda odd to play the opposite sex.

This has been asked on the forum many times, and the answer is typically that while there are plans to offer gender options, it's incredibly expensive to implement and right now far from essential. You can, after all, make a male character into a perfectly viable if not downright overpowered archer. Were the classes not so flexible, I'd say that gender choice might be more important.

Your topic title belies the base request of the thread, by the way.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.
Not really, the main point of the post was character gender and that was addressed as well as my aprecitiation of the overall depth of creative work.

I guess I could have titled it "Character Gender?" but thinking up post titles that will earn an honest response versus a down right slap is not one of my strong suits.

I do thank you for the explanation on character development. Since I made this post I have seen more detailed info on the skill tree and did not realize it was so huge and flexible. In most games you are always restricted in some way by the first choices you make at character creation.
