Build Idea: Freeze Pulse/Fireball Elemental Equilibrium CI Scion (Viable?)

Hey guys,
I was thinking about about a build using Freeze Pulse (with the usual support gems) in a 5 linked staff and a 5linked Fireball using Cast on Crit with Elemental Equilibrium. Here is the build:

Just a note: I think instead of going Unwavering, I think Cast on Stun linked with some defensives would be possible as well. I could also spent some of the points on AoE nodes then.
