question about Cloak of Defiance, Lacquered Garb unique armor

now i have a few questions:

1-whit this armor you don't need to get the passive node of mind over matter????

2-whit this armor i will have a total of 40% when hit damage takken takes before from mana??

They way you described in your first post is exactly how it works.

1) You do not need to take the passive node.
2) Yes, 40% of the damage you take will be taken from mana.

So if I take the passive it will not increase the damage taken from mana by another 30%?

i currently run a trapper build with the searing touch and so on. U need lots of mana (i got rainbowstride and Atziris for it, saving for Dream Fragments) to make it effective.

I also skilled iron reflexes to have more auras running, with alphas howl i have in total Grace, Determination, Clarity and Arctic Armour (currently on lvl 15, and i am still regen mana while running xD)

You can see it this way: With mana reg you have 40 % damage reduction because this gets drained from mana :)
