health reserved auras

Heya, I'm using two auras vitality and grace, I'm trying to reduce to health cost to keep my auras up (I'm using blood magic) and go for a minion build.

I've got 1355 health and 35% mana (/health) reduction cost for auras from my passive tree.

I'm using both auras I am reserving 1084 health and I've got only 271 unreserved.

done the math, that is 80% reserved.
I expected my reserved health to be only 50%
60*2 = 120 -35*2 = 50%

How do I end up at 80% health reserved?

60%*(1-0,35)=39%

2 auras = 80% reserved.

You are presuming that you will substract the %reduced reservation from total mana cost, when in fact you need to multiply.

Otherwise you could take 30% behind BM, and get additional 20-30%, and have auras that cost 0-10%.

Also on this note, Chris must have been smoking some crazy stuff when he told BM builds are stonger than ever.

In the Act 3 merci with my BM and still can't afford to use even ONE aura. I took the passives next to templar (18% reduced) and 30% less, and have 77% RM gem, and Grace just murders me.

I'll take additional 15% next to Ranger/Shadow, but it's just rediculous how far you need to go all over the skill tree as BM build to get those passive, to run only ONE aura.

but 39 * 2 = 78, not 80.

Also I've got iron reflexes, and I'm using grace, before picking the "8% increased effect of auras you cast" my armour was 2070, and after it stayed the same.

Not sure about 80%, maybe it's rounding up.

The other thing is a bug, you need to recast your aura in every instance to get the bonus from those passives.

Maths example:

There are different kinds of %-based skills

Some skills like "additional block chance" are flat additions, so to the 30% block chance on the shield, 4 percent-points get added, resulting in 30%+4% = 34%
Some skills like "increased/reduced life" are additive changes, so if you have two +8% nodes they add up to +16%, turning 500 base life into 500*1.16 = 580 life
Some skills like "more/less damage" are multiplicative changes, so two 15% nodes are applied in separate steps, if you have 200 damage you get 200*1.15*1.15 = 264.5

so with two 60% auras being added => 120%
35% reduced reservation => 120%*(1-0.35) => 78%
77% mana multiplicator from gem => 78%*0.77 => 60.06%
30% less mana from node behind BM => 60.06%*(1-0.3) => 42.042%

if you would level up the gem more and take the ranger aura nodes you could get
120%*(1-0.50)*0.71*(1-0.3) = 29.82%

(rounding will change these numbers a bit)

Edit: corrected number
