How can i find out what support gems work with certain active skills

I noticed not all support gems work with all active gems, where can i find the info about this?

all gems have it on their tooltip (supports and active skill gems)
this can be linked to any active skill there is, coz it says nothing else than "support". ofc it makes no sense if u have Resolute Technique keystone. this active gem gets supported by every support gem that says: "spell/duration/lightning/movement/AoE" what u should learn is the difference between these things: "Attacks" vs "Spells" "Ranged" vs "Melee" clears up 90% of the trouble u have i think also keep an eye open for "Projectiles". the projectile weakness curse for example supports sparkers, freeze pulsers, wanders, archers... its very underused in parties. whenever the tooltip or the skilltree says "with weapons" it refers to "attacks"! hope i could help IGN: @ShocklerMolesh
