Current model creates huge market for RMT
|
People love this game. Players like myself spend hours playing it.
There is a serious lack of desired gems and ability to acquire 3-4 links with desired colors. I am excluding 5-6 links items because those should be hard to get. I play Onslaught, if I die I have to start over. I am ok with this. What I'm not ok with is not being able to play the character/build I want. I have to use some skill I don't want to first then purchase the lvl 1 skill gem I want later. After I acquire this skill gem I get to work lvling it up and progressing as usual until I hit "the wall" where my dps is terrible due to lack of links so I use all the currency I have found which is barely any to get a few links and colors on a peice of gear I have. I don't RMT but for the thousands of players that do. This is no problem. "Darn, I died time to buy a few exalted orbs to sell" I have a friend in game who just started playing and he "somehow" has all max quality gems and perfect rolled uniques. He linked me an exalted or. He said he found the other day but I don't think he knew I could see the stack size which was 9.... 9 exalted orbs and just started 2 weeks ago...right. Anyone else think this is getting out of hand? GGG why is RNG crafting so unforgiving for a casual player? It's a huge turn off. What I'm saying is, RMT is very appealing. Time is money. At best, they could close the gap. However, people that want to RMT, will ALWAYS RMT. They'll take any and all in game advantages they can afford.

" I understand that people who cheat will always cheat. But I agree, as you said they could close the gap. Give players less reason to RMT. World of Warcraft started doing this by making gold easy to acquire and now it can only get you so far in the game. It's funny to read anti AH/RMAH posts when the endgame of POE is a pseudo Pay to Win environment. Mentality of a RMT buyer: "spend hours days and weeks of my time farming or spend the same amount of cash I do for a meal at McDonald's to gear up?" Some ideas I have: 1. Put a gem vendor in the game. 2. Change one of the 2refund point rewards to a 4link socket reward. 3. Fix RNG to a system that makes more sense ie Increse higher chance of links/sockets with eah orb used. 4. Offer micro transaction points for players who scout out and help catch RMT sellers. 5. Increase drop rate of orbs. "I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity." - Edgar Allan Poe IGN: DarkenedSoui Last edited by ShaeG#0897 on Jul 21, 2013, 1:59:08 AM

I'd rather pay to win through GGGs in game shop and let GGG profit than use RMT .
But then again I'd don't want to pay to win at all.I don't think anything is actually won by paying for it. Last edited by Temper#7820 on Jul 21, 2013, 5:10:00 AM
