Your vital statistics should not be displayed on opposite ends of the UI.

Playing on a 23" WS monitor it is not uncommon for me to miss running out of mana until I'm simply unable to cast more spells. This is because I'm either keeping my eyes on: (1) the (more important) shield/Hp display (both of which happen to be conveniently placed right beside each other); or (2) on the main screen where the action is.

I think this is a design flaw that has been uncritically adapted from Diablo for no good reason. Checking your vital statistics should be as convenient as checking your mini-map in an RTS. Don't make us "play the UI" more than necessary.

While I don't personally have any trouble with this, I also think it would do more good than harm to put the orbs in the center right next to each other.

You don't want to clutter the center bottom of your screen with UI. Currently the reason they are on the far sides of the screen, as well as BRIGHTLY colored, is so that your peripheral vision picks them up, and your focus remains on the center portion of your screen.

Cluttering junk on the center bottom or center top of the screen causes you to focus on it. For Example: Monster Life at the top middle of the screen makes it so that it is not hard to know how dead that creature almost is.

As for the OP, if you dont enjoy your 23'' WS monitor, maybe its time to find one that your particular tastes accept? hmm?

I totaly agree with Mordliss.
I love lamp
Personally, I don't like looking at my UI the entire time. I enjoy being as immersed as possible with little UI in my way.

I can see where the OP is coming from, but I just don't see this as game breaking or necessary for GGG to devote the time needed to reorganize it. However, if I'm not mistaken I do believe the developers have stated they mean to eventually allow the UI components to be mobile so that players can customize it to their liking. So maybe there's still hope for the peripheral-impaired.

i support a fully customized UI with minimalistic options that just display numbers... honestly the UI gets in the way, and it's hard to see both sides on big monitors.

I'd prefer a custom central view of crucial values.

I have to agree with the don't clutter the middle camp. Good as is.

I have a 21.5" monitor and still find it hard to focus on the enemy health bar and my health and mana globes. When fighting bosses like Brutus or Hillock I pretty much stare at my health globe and mash my potions. I'd be in some real trouble if my 1/2/3 weren't all vials giving me health and mana.

I'd like to see the enemy health bar moved down to the bottom of the screen. That way all of the focus things are easily within one's peripheral vision.
#Chris: dont quote me on that
