Hi there,
I cannot install the client. I start the installation I choose the location (53Gb free space) I click go Installer shows "updating component registration" and after 2 seconds I get the error: "There was an error creating a temporary file that is needed to complete the installation". I hit okay and the installaer quits. Does anybody have an idea? game partition 53gB space Windows 7 partions has 2 Gb free. |

Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Environmental Settings....
Move the \TEMP and \TMP folders off C: to the 53GB drive. Also, your at a very dangerous level of space on the Windows install drive. You might want to REMOVE or lower the amount of RECYCLEBIN space and decrease the amount of RESTORE POINTS / BACKUP space. Download something like CCLEANER and remove old BACKUPS of the HotFixes as well as other unused installed items. OS: WinXP SP2 32bit

Thx for you answer. nothing helped though.
I've to admin I did not try to move the temp folders because I am not that skilled. Guess I will just wait until I have to time reinstall my computer and choose a bigger primary partition or buy myself a SSD for that purpose. thxx again. |

I am having the exact same problem except my C drive has 13G free and my other drive has 96G free and neither will work as an install location. It is very frustrating as it won't even create ANY files for me to try to move or configure. Do I have a bad installer file or something?
As a side note my C drive is SSD and running Windows 7 64bit Last edited by Tarielen#5006 on Jan 23, 2013, 6:52:05 PM

" rather than necro bumping an old thread, you should create your own thread. post details as clearly as possible as well as any error messages and steps you've taken to troubleshoot and resolve the problem. |
