Theorycraft challenge! Shavronne's Revelation
So I was trying to think of some new builds the other day and came to the realization: it is damn hard to think of a build for shavronnes revelation, especially the right hand.
http://en.pathofexilewiki.com/wiki/Shavronne's_Revelation my first ideas Left hand build: This mod screams EB. The question is, you already have such a high mana regeneration with EB you don't need the 100% mana regeneration mod! Unless... you want to use high level arctic armor maybe? that would cover defense but what about damage? my other thought on left hand, if you had a ghost reaver, vaal pact, ES build you would be relying on ES leech and could use the mana regen to cover a mana weakness? Right hand build: I feel that 4% ES regen could be extremely strong in the right hands (no pun intended lol) the downside to this is so painfull though since nothing can be cast without mana... unless you run blood magic, in which case you probably don't care about ES. Thinking about RF + zealots oath you can get a lot of ES regen which could be pushed to rediculous proportions if you also had this ring. but what would that gain you? Lets find out what the hive mind can come up with for this ring! I sense that an OP build is hiding here somewhere... Hybrid life/ES Templar with Righteous Fire and Blood Magic. No idea what you'd use as skills. Kripp discharger is out since you can't use a shield, unless you're super-rich and have a +1 +2 weapon.

Well I mean, it just says can't regenerate mana. By that I would assume mana leech still works? So basically any CI build that can pull off that much int and run mana leech? Then again I'd deal with a useless stat like that if I had to for the 4% ES regen a second.

script that swaps the ring between both slots, giving you a constant 2% es regen and 50% mana regen =)

For the right hand slot, you can always rely on mana leech and pots to cover the loss of regen, while using the ES regen for your CI or lowlife build.

Left ring slot seems pretty underwhelming, rare rings can have up to 69% mana regen on them (though that needs ilvl 79), plus other usefull stats. On the right ring slot it is imo more interesting, as it provides a unique ability there. I'd probably go for a physical damage CIclone Duelist + Vaal Pact or CIclone + Zealoth's Oath build, covering the mana costs with mana leech.
You could also do a life + ES hybrid that can regen both, life and ES. As I said, I like the right ring slot version more. :P |

hmmm...
what good is ES regen without something like RF or blood rage + shav wrappings where you'd need high ES regen? I saw recently a discharge build that incorporates RF + shavrones wrappings + low life + blood rage. it needed a massive ES pool in order to suppport the RF and blood rage though so maybe this ring could be the boost that gives you enough ES regen to sustain it mana leech would solve the mana problem since with discharge you don't cast unless there are mobs to hit and you'd regen the full mana amount back in 1 hit since the damage:mana ratio is very good i just wonder if it's even worth it? this unique seems underwhelming IGN: OldManBalls (Warbands)

" That conclusion of yours really suprises me. This thread has all the answers why it's actually very strong. Plus I really like the design, which makes this an awesome unique. IGN: Iski

" its not the final conclusion, but the way its looking so far, every time you try and minimize the downside you also end up minimizing the upside. 100% mana regen is strong but only if you don't use ES, which would be either with Blood magic or EB in which you don't need more mana regen 4% ES regen is strong but is mainly needed for RF and/or blood rage where you will already have lots of ES regen through zealots oath there has to be something more behind this, i'm just not sure anyone have any ideas about a hybrid life/ES build with dual regen? What happens if you wear two of these rings?
