Reset Skill Tree?

Is it possible to reset your passive skill tree in this game if you mess up your points

There are occasional tree wipes. Depending on how much meddling they do, there could be one in the next several patches. Otherwise you have to use respec points which you earn from some quests and by consuming orbs of regret.

is it hard to get those orbs

Unless you trade with other players, it is not particularly easy. The system isn't intended for full respec, it is aimed for characters who want to refine their choices.

im one of these people. i spend alot of time theorycrafting and optimising builds. if you make a mistake here and there, orb of regret plus like 9(?) or so respecs by level 60 should be enough. but i dont want to see whole build changes with the click of a button.

Playing with passive skill tree is game by itself. You need to have a vision of how your character should look at lvl 100. Than test if you would have enough points, and than you actually put them in game.
Trespassers will be shot survivors will be shot again!

Having a vision and having choices mean something is all well and good when you've played in beta and done all your experimentation already when nothing meant anything.
Put yourself in a new players shoes who may have never seen this style or "tree" or played FFX before and it is slightly overwhelming. People will start placing points and realize they make mistakes etc. It would be good to have a wipe or more respec points (one time) mid game (maybe lv 30) to correct all those experiments the inexperienced player made on first play through. That said I currently have no concept of how easy or hard orbs of regret will be to come by, so maybe its a non issue. |
