Input/Control-Key-Settings wont save
I'm not sure if this is a bug or a problem of my installation.
Every time I start the game, I have to modify my input-settings. I face the same problems with the GUI settings (tried to set window to fullscreen). Please tell if it is a bug or a problem with my installation. I'm playing it on a iMac with VMWare installed and Win7 running. |

" Hey there, it sounds like the client can't save/write the changes to the config file. Double-check your permissions and make sure the game has write access to your HDD. |

Thank you for this hint.
Unfortunately I#m not familiar with Windows (I'm Mac-User) First: I reinstalled POE, but this changed nothing. There were 2 Directories of the Game: 1) C:/Programms/Grinding Gear Games/Path of Exile/ 2) C:/User/"My Name"/Own Dokuments/My Games/ => since the new installation it's gone. I noticed that the directories are write-protected. I tried to change this, but it didn't work (after closing the properties-window its write-protected again). As I can see, the permissions are okay (SYSTEM and everyone has full permissions). Also I looked for settings in VMWare. But I couldn't find any. |

Now I changed every User-Rights to everyone read/Write. No change.
As I'm writing this post, I noticed, that my Account is not verified. I did it several times. Maybe there is the fault? |

Perhaps: Might there be a way to manually save the settings by hacking in the appropriate file?

" There should be, though I'm not sure as I don't use the mac client/trick etc. "I noticed that the directories are write-protected. I tried to change this, but it didn't work (after closing the properties-window its write-protected again)." That is going to be your issue :( |

This is an Article about the write protection of Folders:
http://www.drwindows.de/windows-anleitungen-und-faq/29781-die-legende-vom-schreibschutz-alle-ordner-schreibgeschuetzt.html It says that every folder shows the protection, but isn't write protected though. If you uncheck the protection it only change the protection of the files tu writeable. I still don't know how the permissions should look like. |
